Abstract

This article presents the results of studies conducted to determine the transport capacity of the flow in the regulated bed of the Amudarya River. As a result, the analysis showed that the turbidity regime in the domestic state is basically the same as the liquid runoff regime. Maximum turbidity values are observed approximately 1.0-1.5 months earlier, that is, during spring floods. In the domestic state, turbidity in the Kerki-Tyuyamuyun section, more than 500 km long, remains almost unchanged and begins to decrease along the length when leaving the gorge. During the study, natural data from various hydro posts of the regulated bed of the Amudarya River were analyzed and, based on the analysis, calculated relationships between the hydraulic parameters of the river bed and the average turbidity of the flow were obtained. The obtained calculated dependencies are recommended for use in channel regulation and bank protection works.
