Abstract

Porcelain production is one of the rapidly developing industries worldwide. In this field, it is crucial to identify, enrich, and properly utilize the necessary raw materials. This study investigates the composition and physico-chemical properties of  kaoline found in the Angren region. Initially, the chemical composition of the kaolin was determined using XRF spectrometry, revealing that it contains 26% Al₂O₃, 70% SiO₂, and 1.59% Fe₂O₃. Due to this composition, the kaoline is considered unsuitable for porcelain manufacturing and requires beneficiation. This article analyzes several enrichment methods aimed for kaolin of Angren at reducing the iron(III) oxide content and partially increasing the aluminum content. Including methods such as magnetic separation and washing.
